Where transformation happens

Studio Policies

Studio Membership Model

Our studio operates on a year-round membership model built on an intentionally averaged calendar.

Rather than charging per individual lesson and recalculating tuition around every holiday or five-week month, tuition is distributed across 12 equal monthly payments. This keeps billing consistent and predictable while protecting each student’s standing weekly lesson time.

Students receive 42–43 instructional weeks per year, depending on the day of the week. The studio calendar includes 9–10 built-in break weeks each year (holidays, spring break, seasonal pauses, and summer breathing space).

Those breaks are already built into the annual structure — which means families receive natural seasonal breaks without needing to request time off or adjust tuition month to month.

Because the calendar already includes 9–10 weeks off each year, families are not paying for weeks the studio is closed.

Some months naturally include more lesson dates and others fewer, but tuition remains steady because it is averaged across the year. This protects families from higher invoices during five-lesson months while still preserving consistent instruction across the year.

In addition to the built-in breaks, weekly students receive up to three make-up credits per calendar year with 72+ hours’ notice to support unexpected conflicts beyond the normal calendar structure.

Tuition is not payment per individual lesson date.
It is the reservation of a protected weekly appointment within a limited teaching schedule and the continuity of instruction that comes with it.

This structure creates predictable budgeting for families, stability for teachers, and a consistent place for students to grow.

Billing & Payment Policy

Weekly Reserved Lessons (Private/Duet/Trio)

🧾 Monthly Invoicing:
Invoices are emailed at the beginning of each month and reflect the monthly tuition for your lesson type and length.

Because tuition is averaged across the year, monthly payments remain consistent regardless of how many lesson dates fall within a given month.

Please refer to the Studio Calendar for scheduled instructional weeks and built-in breaks.

📅 Payment Due Date
Payment is due by the 1st of each month.

Grace period: through the 9th
A $35 late fee is applied on the 10th.

Make-Up & Attendance Policy

Weekly Reserved Lessons

Students with weekly reserved lessons maintain a protected weekly time in the studio schedule. Because tuition reserves that time, credits or refunds are not issued for missed lessons.

Families receive up to three make-up credits per calendar year with 72+ hours’ notice.

• Make-ups are scheduled during designated studio windows (typically Fridays/Saturdays)
• First come, first served
• Must be used within 60 days or they expire

💻 Virtual Attendance Option
If facing illness, traffic, or unexpected challenges, lessons may be attended via FaceTime or Zoom.

⚠️ Emergencies
Extreme situations (e.g., power outages, natural disasters, etc.) will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

🚫 No make-ups or credits are issued for missed group classes.
Group participation affects assignments, duet pairings, and recital preparation. Attendance is expected.
