Billing & Payment Policy
Weekly Reserved Lessons
🧾 Monthly Invoicing:
The studio operates on a monthly invoicing schedule. Invoices will be emailed at the beginning of the month and will reflect the monthly tuition for your lesson type (Private/Duet/Trio) and length (30/45/60 min).
Tuition is a year-round membership that reserves your weekly lesson time, based on an annual calendar.
There will be 42-43 total lessons offered throughout the calendar year, depending on the day of the week. Because breaks are built into the studio calendar, months may include anywhere from 2–5 lessons (most often 4), but tuition stays the same each month because it’s averaged across the year—not billed per lesson.
Please refer to the Studio Calendar for the scheduled weeks of instruction and weeks of vacation.
đź“… Payment Due Date: Payment is due by the 1st of each month.
⚠️ Late Fee: If payment is not received by the 9th of the month, a $35 late fee will be added to your account.
⚠️ Paypal Fee: Use of PayPal for payments will incur an additional $20 processing fee.
Group Voice Class
🧾 Semester Invoicing:
Tuition for group classes is due by the first day of class. Tuition covers all classes in the semester. Fall and Winter semesters are 12 weeks long; Spring semester is six weeks long.
* Washington now requires sales tax to be added to all Group Classes.
* Splitting payments requires prior approval.
⚠️ Late Fee: If payment is not received by the first day of class, a $35 late fee will be added to your account.
⚠️ Withdrawal Fee:
* 8 or more days before class begins: no fee, full refund
* 7-4 days before class begins: 25% withdrawal fee
* 3-1 day(s) before class beings: 50% withdrawal fee
* On the first day of class: full class tuition is non-refundable
Drop-in Lessons
Payment is due by the 9th of the month that the lesson is scheduled or 24 hours before the lesson, whichever comes first.

Cancellation Policy
Weekly Reserved Lessons
Students with weekly reserved lessons (Private/Duet/Trio) do not get any credits or refunds for absences. They do, however, get three make-up credits per calendar year.
⏰ 72-Hour Notice Required: If you want a make-up lesson, notify the studio at least 72 hours’ notice before the lesson you will miss and a make-up credit will be issued (up to 3 per calendar year).
Make-up lessons are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis during designated make-up windows (Fri/Sat).
Make-up credits must be used within 60 days of being issued, or they expire.
đź’» Virtual Attendance Option: If you're dealing with unexpected illness, traffic, or other last-minute challenges, you're encouraged to attend your lesson via FaceTime or Zoom.
⚠️ Exceptions for Emergencies: Extreme situations (e.g., power outages, natural disasters, etc.) will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Group Voice Class
đźš« No makeups for missed classes: Group classes rely on consistent group participation. Missed group classes are not eligible for makeup or credit, regardless of reason.
👥 Impact of Absences: Student attendance affects group assignments, duet pairings, and recital preparation—please prioritize attendance as much as possible.

Termination Policy

đź“© 30 days written notice is required to terminate weekly reserved lessons (Private/Duet/Trio).
* Tuition remains due during the notice period
* Returning students rejoin through the waitlist
đź’µ Refunds for Prepaid Lessons: Any prepaid lessons scheduled more than 30 days after notice is given will be refunded.
Group Voice Class
âť—Note: This policy does not apply to group classes, which are a full-semester commitment. Please see the Withdrawal Fees associated with Group Classes.
Continuation Policy
Summer Semester Options
Students with weekly reserved lessons have two options for handling the Summer months (July, August):
* Option A: Continue Standard Membership (this is the default option). Tuition continues monthly through summer and your weekly time remains reserved. The studio calendar already includes built-in summer break weeks.
* Option B: Pause Lessons (by request only). Pause lesson for July and August, but retain a regular weekly slot for the Fall, by paying a non-refundable Summer Hold Fee equal to 50% of the monthly tuition for July and August.
âť—Note: Students who opt out of both options are effectively terminating lessons and are subject to the Termination Policy, requiring 30 days notice.
Other Policies
Instructor Absence
If the instructor cannot attend a lesson, a substitute instructor will be provided, or a make-up lesson will be offered. If the make-up lesson is not scheduled within 60 days of the missed lesson, the lesson cost will be refunded.
Tardy Lessons
If a student is tardy to a lesson, he or she will only receive a lesson for the remainder of the time available during their regularly scheduled lesson time.
Instructors are required to wait 10 minutes for a 30-minute lesson, 20 minutes for a 45-minute lesson, and 20 minutes for a 60-minute lesson.
Virtual Attendance Option
If a student is facing last-minute illness, traffic, or other unexpected challenges, they can contact the instructor and convert their lesson to an online lesson using FaceTime/Zoom.
Note: Virtual attendance can be used during summer or other vacation breaks, during illness, and during any other type of challenge to having an in-person lesson.
Inclement Weather & Other Emergencies
If heavy snow or extreme weather makes it unsafe or impractical to meet in person, lessons may shift to FaceTime/Zoom when possible. All other extreme situations or emergencies will be handled case-by-case.
Studio Pictures & Videos
Lesson or recital photos/videos may be used for studio media (public shoutouts, advertising, etc.) unless a student opts out in writing via email to the studio.
Safety
Video monitoring is in use on studio premises.
